Property Description

The quintessential Caribbean escape awaits you at the Carambola Beach Resort & Spa. Tucked away on a secluded stretch of white-sand beach, the resort is surrounded by lush green mountainside of the rainforest on one side and the crystal blue waters of the Caribbean on the other. Spacious accommodations, indulgent amenities, exceptional service, and the tranquil spirit of the Caribbean come together for your idyllic getaway. Location: Carambola Beach Resort & Spa is located on the island of St. Croix in the United States Virgin Islands. As the largest US Virgin Island, St. Croix has a population of approximately 50,000 and is 28 miles in length and 7 miles at its widest point. From the resort, guests can take a drive into Christiansted or Fredricksted to discover more of the history of the island through historic sites and architecture. St. Croix is a 2 hour and 15 minute flight from Miami International Airport or a 20 minute flight from Puerto Rico. In 1917, the United States purchased the islands from Denmark for 25 million dollars ÔÇô making travel is very convenient as citizens of the United States do not need a passport to visit. Other countries entering may need a visa or other documents. Guest Rooms: The 150 spacious guest rooms throughout the resort's 25 two-story buildings offer a variety of views of the Caribbean and our gardens. All rooms are oversized at 563 square feet and feature a king bed and pullout sofa bed in the living area. The living area includes a kitchenette with sink, microwave and refrigerator. The studio room category has an upgraded kitchenette with a two burner stovetop and a full-size refrigerator. Guest room view options are island view, ocean view or beachfront. Leisure & Recreation: The Renaissance St. Croix has a relaxed ambiance and offers a truly authentic Caribbean experience. There are hammocks strung from trees throughout the property so you can relax, read a book or gaze at the ocean and mountains. If you're looking for a more active getaway, the resort's PADI certified Sweet Bottom Dive Center offers a complimentary Discover Scuba course in the freshwater pool as well as an array of scuba diving from shore or boat. Head off the beaten path when you grab some water and your camera for a scenic hike from the property to the tide pools. The resort also has a state of the art exercise facility open seven days a week. The 18-hole Carambola Golf Course is located adjacent to the resort - complimentary shuttle to and from the course is available. Dining: With two dining options on property, guests can enjoy a variety of continental and Caribbean cuisine. The Saman Restaurant serves breakfast daily with the option to dine indoors or outdoors. Open for lunch and dinner, the Flamboyant Restaurant features a casual bar and outdoor seating overlooking the ocean. On Friday night, the resort holds the popular Pirates Buffet which includes a delicious array of seafood and continental cuisine followed by local entertainment, music and dancing under the stars. Room service offered daily. Weddings: Destination weddings are our specialty and we have a certified wedding planner on property to help create your perfect day whether it's a barefoot beach ceremony for two or a splendid and elegant affair for 160. Meetings & Events: With over 12,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space, the resort has a varied selection of meeting space that can serve any type of social, incentive or corporate meetings and events.
