The origin of Grand Hotel Parker's name came from an English gentleman who in the beginning of the century became the owner. Originally the hotel was called Tramontano and then Bellavista, due to its wonderful panoramic position: the hotel faces on the marvellous Naples Bay, with a wide view on Castel Dell'Ovo and the Vesuvio Vulcan. Different events marked the G.H. Parker's history: starting from the glamour of Twenties going through the German military occupation first and the American occupation secondly until the decline period of the post-war years. Behind the beautiful architectural details of its imposing Liberty façade, under the preservation of Works of Arts, lies a setting of refined Old World charme, whose antique furnishings and reassuring air unhurried calm are a complete antithesis to the clamour of the city. The hotel is located in Corso Vittorio Emanuele, one of the most old-fashionable streets in Naples, which has a half-cost itinerary in Chiaia district. Close to the elegant Martiri square and via dei Mille shopping areas of fine boutiques, as well as the Capodimonte Museum & Gallery, the Royal Palace and the Archaeological Museum.The Parker's has 6 floors, each of them furnished in different styles: Louis XVI, Directory, Empire and Charles X. At the 6th floor Clients can have lunch or dinner in the exclusive George's panoramic restaurant overlooking the sea and the Vulcan. The cuisine, greatly appreciated by the repetitive Clients and by national Guides, offers the most famous dishes from the regional tradition. The Chef Baciot and his staff have studied a menu of gourmet Neapolitan cuisine with exquisite service in a most romantic atmosphere. The Bidder's bar with panoramic terrace and piano-bar is ideal for relaxing in the evening. The Cigar Corner is a special space where Guests can taste a selection of cigars combined with chocolate pure cru and spirits. For Guests 82 elegant spacious and distinctively guest-rooms, including nine comfortable and prestigious panoramic split-level suites and a grand Presidential Suite with Jacuzzi, all with air conditioning, satellite-tv, pay-tv, radio, mini-bar, elegant writing-desk, parquet and precious marble.
