Front desk was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Rapid City, SD. The hotel was lovely, very nice, relaxing. Comfortable beds, lovely historic atmosphere, good food. Definitely enjoyed our stay. Very, very nice place to stay. Staff was remarkable. The rooms were very pleasant. Would definitely go back if ever in the area again. Unique historic property located in the Heart of Downtown Rapid City. The Hotel Alex Johnson is safe walking distance to many shops, fine dining, local pubs, beauty salons, and even the historic Elks Movie Theatre. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, AAA rated three diamond hotel, it is most certainly a most see for any traveler.
