Courteous staff, beautiful location, comfortable bed. Great location, ocean view, friendly desk staff. We liked our stay with Castle Hilo Hawaiian. Location can't be beat and the staff is friendly. The restaurant in my opinion had some really good items. Maybe it was a bad fridge? A microwave in room would have been a great touch. Pool closes at 7 if you expect it to be later. No jacuzzi, not sure why but this would be The view of the bay was awesome. I have stayed at the hotel twice now. I enjoy waking up to the lovely view of Mauna Kea and the lovely lagoon out my window. The staff is pleasant and very helpful. I love the slow pace of Hilo and how much quieter it is than the Kona side. I would recommend the hotel.
