We truly enjoyed our stay here! The room was very, very clean! The pool was fun for the little guys and the fitness center was adequate. One of the best parts was the breakfast. During our stay we were fed by a sweet "hotel grandma." She helped our grandchildren fix their plates and talked to them with such warmth and tenderness I was truly impressed and grateful. She greeted each guest and gave them a brief overview of the offerings of the day and checked to see if there was anything else they needed. Somehow she managed to keep the food fully stocked, empty the trash, clean tables and chairs and take care of a full lobby. While she looked like a grandma, she acted like a recharged drone hovering everywhere and seeing to everyone's needs at the same time! I don't know how long Fairfield Inn, Athens, Alabama, can hold on to her, but she definitely deserves some recognition for her excellent love for her guests and her hotel!
