Love this hotel! Such character! Beautiful and clean. I couldn't be more pleased! Beautiful, spacious rooms with high ceilings, charming and very comfortable! The location is great. It was very relaxing. The staff was very professional. The property and the view are very beautiful. This is the hotel I will book every visit. We enjoyed our stay! Lamothe House is located on Esplanade Avenue, one of the French Quarter's most famous streets, with its ancient live oaks and frequent sightings of horse-drawn carriages. Esplanade is a bounding street of the Quarter, so you are steps away from the action, but not sleeping in the middle of it. In addition to its convenient location, Esplanade Avenue also offers some of New Orleans' oldest and most interesting architecture.One of the city's best kept secrets, the Faubourg Marigny, is just steps from the Lamothe House and offers hot nightspots, hip cafes, and some of the world's finest restaurants. Also nearby, you'll find exquisite shopping, museums, historical landmarks, The French Market and Mississippi River cruises.The river front streetcar is less than four blocks from the Lamothe House and provides convenient and fun transportation to the Convention Center as well as the Aquarium of the Americas, Harrah's Casino and the Riverwalk Shopping Mall. The hotel also includes the Marigny Guesthouse which is a converted Creole Cottage located directly behind the main property.
