Closest airport to Mackinac Island is Pellston Airport, Northern Michigan (easy hop from DET). One shuttle company at the airport offers scheduled shuttle buses from the airport to the Mackinaw City ferry docks (Service provided by Mackinaw Shuttle). Local Shuttle Info: Daily taxi shuttle provided by Mackinac Island Carriage Tours, is available to take you to and from the ferry docks and downtown. Cost is $5.50 per person, please note this service is cash only.
