We are nessled away on the southern side of Des Moines away from the noise and traffic of West Des Moines and downtown. The hotel is 1 block from the Airport and less than 1 mile from the bypass which makes traveling anywhere in the area simple. We are within 5 minutes of downtown Des Moines, Interstate 35, Drake University, The Iowa Events Center, Wells Fargo Arena, Hy Vee Hall, Des Moines Civic Center, The Des Moines Convention Center, Priciple Park, The Legacy Golf Club, and Grays Lake. We are less than 2 minutes from Blank Park Zoo, Air Lanes Bowling Alley, Southridge Mall, the Fort Des Moines Park, and over 50 different area restaurants.
I was greeted with a smile, courtesy and professionalism. I was happy to have a room right off the lobby. The lobby decor was very attractive. I appreciated the park and shuttle service. The rooms were clean. Hotel offered the convenience of park and fly and was four minutes from the airport. My stay was a good one. I had not been in Des Moines for over 30 years. I grew up in the neighborhood next to the hotel in the 60's and 70's when there were more fields than houses. The staff helped me get a word document printed that I needed for my mother's funeral. This is a pet friendly place which helped me bring my young Chiweenie with me. If I need to return to Des Moines I will consider staying here again! Property well cared for. Good location. Found staff friendly and helpful. Attached restaurant was a plus as well.
