We loved our stay at The Glen House. Our fur baby was welcomed and treated as an important guest. Our room and accommodations were lovely. Clean, spacious and comfortable. It was so very nice to find a hotel of this caliber that welcomes our pet to travel with us without downgrading the accommodations to a second best, dingy room. The staff, the on site Notch Grill restaurant and the grounds (what a view!) were all so very lovely. We enjoyed our 45th wedding anniversary trip so much! Love the views, food is excellent, overall I would recommend the Glen House to my friends. Staff is great. Rooms are nice. Food is really good! Very clean and workers were very friendly. Good food and location. We were thrilled with our beautiful room which was also very comfortable! We especially admired the great shower! Staff members were kind and helpful to us and our greyhound. The food was delicious! The Glen House Hotel is scheduled to open in Fall 2018.With an aesthetical nod to its ancestors, The Glen House Hotel will be built in classic New England vernacular, with clapboards, and painted trim, similar to the previous four Glen Houses that have stood on its site since 1852.The spacious guestrooms are reflective of the simplicity of Shaker design while the lobby embraces the history of the Mt. Washington Auto Road.Although inspired by the past, the technology of today separates The Glen House from its predecessors. The Glen House Hotel will be close to energy self-sufficient and carbon neutral, thanks to a geothermal system that will provide heating and cooling as well as two offsite energy-generating projects harnessing hydro and solar power.
