The location was perfect for the race and the staff were very accommodating regarding storing and assembling / disassembling bikes in the lobby. The restaurant attached was very good too. A great place to stay for any race in downtown Milwaukee. The Knickerbocker is a pleasant place to stay. Great location and Art Deco touches remain unsurpassed! My room was highly functional. The Knickerbocker is more than adequate for visitors who want to experience Milwaukee. Located downtown near the lakefront and Milwaukees best attractions, each room is uniquely decorated with kitchenette, microwave, mini-fridge, coffee maker, iron, hairdryer, and free high speed internet. Rate is for room(s) with 1 King or Queen Bed and up to 2 adults per room. The building was built in 1929. We have retained much of the original charm in the lobby with vaulted ceilings, crystal chandeliers, and the original terrazzo floors. We have two critically acclaimed restaurants in the hotel, The Knick which is an upscale caf├® and the Osteria del Mondo, which is a fine dining Italian restaurant. We also have a full service spa and salon in the building. The hotel is located near all downtown attractions and we are within walking distance to the Milwaukee Art Museum,shopping, dining and the theatre district. The Knick Restaurant is open for breakfast beginning at 9 am on weekends. Breakfast is not included in the room rate.
