The staff was friendly and The room was clean and comfortable. We will definitely recommend your hotel. Loved the room, super comfortable beds, very clean, nice staff. Definitely would stay here again. The rooms were clean, free coffee was good and the rooftop pool was nice. As one of seven unique Affinia hotels, The Liaison Capitol Hill is within two blocks of the US Capitol and near Union Station and the National Mall making it the perfect setting for business and leisure. Every guest is afforded an array of amenities and services designed to provide customized comfort, including Affinia's six choice pillow menu, the Affinia Bed, Affinia's Experience Kits, SPAffinia in room spa treatments, and our signature welcome drink at check-in.Adjacent to the hotel's lobby is the stylish Art and Soul restaurant and ArtBar featuring the handcrafted food of acclaimed celebrity chef and James Beard award winning Art Smith. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner everyday, guests may indulge themselves in specialties prepared with fresh and regional ingredients or partake in one of ArtBar's specialty drinks. The private dining room accommodates up to 44. The outdoor patio is equipped with a fire pit and offers views of the Capitol. All 343 guest rooms are newly designed to have a comfortable and contemporary residential feel. In addition to the plush Affinia bed with a mohair headboard, each room has a 37 inch panel television, reading lamps, workspace with Internet access and voice mail, a MP3 and CD alarm clock, in-room coffee and tea, reach in closets with laptop safe, daily valet service and bath amenities from Aveda. The hotel's meeting and event space function space encompasses over 10,000 square feet accommodating up to 400 guests. The 4400 square foot lobby level Metropolitan Ballroom is divisible into three sections and is flanked by an additional 2800 square feet of flexible meeting and event space. Modern lighting and a Bose sound system complete these rooms. On level two of the hotel are three additional board rooms featuring 52 inch wall mounted monitors, kitchenettes and private powder rooms. In the summer of 2009, the redesigned roof top pool opens outfitted with a bar, day beds, cabanas and a new menu with food inspired by Art Smith. Additional hotel amenities include a fitness center, gift shop and on site parking.
